B2C solutions & informations for small and medium
size enterprises in Hungary
Electronic commerce (e-commerce)
is the idea of doing business electronically over
the Internet.
No longer bound by time or geography, ecommerce provides
store owners with ubiquitous access to their customers.
This significantly expands a store owner's opportunity
to satisfy demand for products, services, and information
of each customer. Online purchasing is becoming as
common and convenient as ordering by telephone or
fax.
If you have an online store there are no time and
geographical boundaries to your business since your
customers and consumers can have access to your services
and can buy your products whenever they have time.
There are two main types of ecommerce today. While
B2C (business to consumer) transactions dominated
the e-commerce world some years ago, now B2B (business
to business) companies excelerate with i-speed and
have exponential growth due to the characteristics
of the industries the operate in.
Electronic transactions and processes are becoming
more and more complex thus the idea of incorporating
e-services into our daily life is not a dream any
more.
Traditional marketing and promotional
methods are loosing ground in the virtual environment
and new, exciting technics are emerging.
The presence of your web store is not enough to be
successful. Something more is needed. But what exactly?

How does an online store work?
You select the items you wish to
purchase and put them in your shopping cart. When
you're ready to checkout, you take them to a sales
clerk at the cash register where you are given the
option to pay by cash, check or credit card.
The cash register used to process your payment is
actually referred to as a Point-of-Sale (POS terminal).
The cash register (POS terminal) is connected to the
retail store's bank processing network where the credit
card and/or check is verified as valid either with
available credit and/or a valid banking institution.
You are then given a receipt and the transaction is
complete.
Ecommerce services are very similar and operate just
as stated above, only without a sales clerk. Just
think of your computer as your sales staff.
E-mail receipts are sent after a transaction is processed
giving your customer an instantaneous online verification
that the transaction was completed.
Don't you think you can have a
web presence for your enterprise? To make your products
and services available to a wide base of new consumers
and find new markets this way?
Basic rule in the "New Economy" is that
not only the best, but the fastest can win too.
The next chapter of internet...,
as HP envisions it.
So far we have used the internet as an information
source then for selling and buying online, but soon
there will be a time when internet based applications
communicating with one another will fulfill request
and/or trigger other e-services that, in turn carry
out their parts of some complex workflow or transaction.
